More than a certificate date. Every IPP designation tells you three things about the professional holding it, all verifiable in real time.
Passed a rigorous, evidence-based assessment at the appropriate level. Not self-declared. Verifiable in the public directory right now with no phone calls or transcript requests.
The designation is only active if CPD is current. A live MIPP is a developing professional. If membership has lapsed, the designation does not show in the directory. You see current status, not historical achievement.
MIPP and FIPP members maintain a Calibrate competency profile built from real project evidence and confirmed by a professional reviewer. Ask to see it. It shows where they are strong and where they are developing.
Designation guide
Has passed the IPP Foundation Certificate. Suitable for junior project roles, project coordinator, and assistant PM positions. Actively studying and developing.
10 hours per year. An active AIPP is maintaining development.
Practitioner Certificate and minimum two years of documented project delivery. Suitable for PM, lead PM, and senior delivery roles. Competency profile available in Calibrate.
20 hours per year. Verifiable, current evidence portfolio.
Advanced Certificate, five or more years senior experience, peer-reviewed by existing Fellows. Suitable for programme manager, Head of PMO, and senior leadership roles.
30 hours per year. Active contribution to IPP expected.
