About IPP

Built because project professionals deserve better.

The existing qualification landscape is expensive, rigid, and built around exams that test recall rather than competence. IPP exists to change that.

IPP exists because project management deserves better than it currently gets from the professional bodies that serve it. That is a direct statement. We mean it directly.

Professionals who have spent years delivering complex projects are asked to sit multiple choice papers in test centres to prove they know what they already demonstrably know. The credential that results tells an employer almost nothing useful. The professional body that issued it collects an annual fee and does very little else.

We built IPP to fix that.

Three things we believe.

01

Practice over process.

Project professionals are defined by what they deliver, not the exams they have passed. A qualification should reflect demonstrated competence, not the ability to memorise a body of knowledge under pressure.

02

Evidence over assertion.

Competence should be demonstrated through real work, not claimed on a CV. The Calibrate evidence portfolio is the practical expression of this principle: a living record built from genuine project experience.

03

Support over certification.

A professional body should be useful throughout a career, not just at the point of entry. Membership should mean something every year, not just on the day the card arrives.

The Module Six relationship.

IPP is developed by Module Six, the company behind Activate and Calibrate. The relationship is transparent and the distinction is maintained deliberately. Module Six is a commercial business. IPP is a professional body with its own governance, standards, and member interests.

The governance board operates independently of Module Six's commercial decisions. Conflicts of interest are managed by board composition: a majority of board members are not employed by or commercially connected to Module Six.

Our ambition.

IPP is young. We are honest about that. We do not have decades of history. What we have is a clear view of what is wrong with the current landscape, a credible framework for fixing it, and a commitment to building something that genuinely serves project practitioners.

The Chartered Project Practitioner designation is our long-term goal. When ChPP means something in the market it will be because we earned that recognition through rigorous standards, not because we announced it.
