IPP is the professional body for project practitioners. We assess competence independently against a published framework, so you can hire, deploy and promote on verified capability instead of job titles, tenure and self-report. Every designation is earned, checkable, and owned by the person who holds it.
Independent assessment · Verifiable status · A framework built by practitioners who have run the work
The IPP Competency Framework wasn't written by committee. It was built and approved by a governance board of senior practitioners who have led major projects, programmes and portfolios, applying project theory in practice across a range of lifecycle and delivery approaches. That is what IPP stands on: competence judged by people who have done the work, not recall measured by a paper.
Designations are earned against the framework and assessed independently. They are not bought, and they are not self-declared.
Members are assessed on demonstrated capability and real evidence of delivery, not a multiple-choice pass.
Every member has a public, checkable status, and the record belongs to the professional, so it stays honest when they move.
Before you hire or shortlist a project professional, check whether their credentials are real and current. The IPP public directory is open to everyone, requires no login, and reflects live membership status. No phone calls. No delays.

Back your people toward IPP membership and qualifications, and independently assessed competence becomes the standard you manage to, not an annual guess. Your team builds recognised designations they value, and you get a common language for capability across the organisation.
That is Calibrate. It lets your team build and validate a competency record against the same IPP framework, with team dashboards, reviewer workflows and CPD tracking. The institute sets the standard. Calibrate is the platform that puts it to work day to day.
Check a candidate in seconds, back your team toward recognised designations, and manage to a standard set by people who have run the work.
