About IPP
IPP recognises project practitioners for competence they can demonstrate, assessed independently against a published framework and recorded as evidence they own. Proof that reflects real capability and stays with you for your whole career.
Most project qualifications measure what you can recall in an exam on a single day. That says little about whether someone can lead a complex project. IPP was built to recognise competence the way it actually shows up in the work: demonstrated through evidence, and confirmed by independent assessment against a published standard.
Everything IPP awards is anchored to that standard, the IPP Competency Framework, and assessed against it independently. Your qualifications, your assessed competence and your CPD sit together in one verified record that belongs to you, not your current employer, and travels with you when you move. That record is the point: proof an employer can trust, owned by the professional who earned it.
Project professionals are defined by what they deliver, not the exams they have passed. A qualification should reflect demonstrated competence, not the ability to memorise a body of knowledge under pressure.
Competence should be demonstrated through real work, not claimed on a CV. The Calibrate evidence portfolio is the practical expression of this principle: a living record built from genuine project experience.
A professional body should be useful throughout a career, not just at the point of entry. Membership should mean something every year, not just on the day the card arrives.
IPP is developed by Module Six, the company behind Activate and Calibrate. The relationship is transparent and the distinction is maintained deliberately. Module Six is a commercial business. IPP is a professional body with its own governance, standards, and member interests.
The governance board is constituted to operate independently of Module Six’s commercial decisions, and its composition rules reserve a majority of seats for members who are not employed by or commercially connected to Module Six. Until those appointments complete, an interim group of senior practitioners within Module Six holds the board’s responsibilities. We say so plainly rather than describe a board that is still being recruited.
IPP is young. We are honest about that. We do not have decades of history. What we have is a clear view of what is wrong with the current landscape, a credible framework for fixing it, and a commitment to building something that genuinely serves project practitioners.
Chartered status through IPP, ChIPP, is our long-term goal. When those letters mean something in the market it will be because we earned that recognition through rigorous standards, not because we announced it.
